Records

On this page you can know each of the data included in the record of each puzzle, from the puzzle size once finished until the official title of the puzzle in different languages, including weights and dimensions of the box, pattern, number of bags, etc.

You can access to the record of each puzzle by clicking on the name of the puzzle in the page The List.

All the information that you will find on the records has been compiled from various sources: websites, catalogs, puzzles I own, friends, etc. I want to mention here the main sources from which I have obtained much of the data:
  • The BIG Jigsaw Puzzle Collection: One of the members of this Flickr group (silberfuchs64 has taken the trouble to collect the basic information of more than 350 puzzles of 5000 or more pieces. This is the most comprehensive list I've found so far. It includes basic information and links to images of all puzzles.
  • Sex Drugs and Jigsaw Puzzles: The author of this american blog, Tom, included in the page called "The Big Boys" a fairly complete list of great puzzles, with basic data and images. His blog and collection, inspired me in my intention of collect all the puzzles of 6000 pieces and more, and to create this blog.
  • Riesel Prime: This page contains an exhaustive list of almost all existing puzzles of 5000 or more pieces, with more data than the Flickr list. It has large pictures of the puzzles.
  • PuzzleandoSpanish puzzles forum featuring a "Puzzles Gallery" where fellow members catalog the puzzles that they finish, including several data and finished puzzle photos.
  • Puzzles y Piezas: Other spanish puzzles forum that has a similar section to the previous forum, called "Puzzles Room".
However, despite all the information available on the Internet and collaboration of many people, some data are unknown, especially of the oldest puzzles yet. For this reason, some data shown are estimated, in this case the data is displayed with an "*" asterisk after the data.

Finally, fair play! All the information collected here is the result of many hours of work of many people (of those mentioned above and mine), diving online, collecting data, searching for images, asking friends, etc. for the benefit of all. You can freely use the information included here, but instead just use it I only ask you to make reference to this page and link it.

All records have the same structure, information and data. In the following lines, you can find the explanation of every data included in the records.
